A singer- songwriter, a record-producer, a multi-instrumentalist and a film star – yes, it is all about him, super talented Lenny Kravitz.
The artist was born in New York in a wealthy family. His father Sy worked as an NBC television news producer, while his mother Roxie was an actress. Growing up in such a family, gave Lenny an opportunity to get acquainted with a number of successful people in the music industry.
In 1974 the family moved to LA and that’s where Kravitz started singing in a Californian boys’ choir. In addition to that, he learnt to play the piano, guitar, drums, bass, saxophone, etc.
At the age of 16 he began writing music under the name Romeo Blue and was soon noticed by I.R.S Records. Despite the fact that their mutual work wasn’t long-lasting, the celebrity didn’t give up and in 1989 signed a contract with Virgin Records. That same year he presented the debut album Let Love Rule that was sold out within days. This gave the star a possibility to tour the globe and perform on TV.
In total, he introduced 11 successful studio albums, 2 EPs and four box set compilation albums.
Apart from music, Kravitz is also recognized thanks to his acting work. For instance, he featured in such great television projects as Zoolander, Precious, The Hunger Games, Star and others.
