A German-born model, a film performer, a TV host, a producer and a script writer- yes, it is all about her, Heidi Klum. It would be interesting to know that her parents were also involved in the beauty industry. Her mother Erna worked as a hairdresser in a beauty salon and her father Günther was an executive of a cosmetics firm.
Being a school-girl, Heidi knew she would sooner or later become a star of a cat walk. At the age of 18 she won a national modeling competition and as a prize, she signed a contract with a respected modeling agency and took part in a popular TV show. A year later, she gave up studies and went to New York to build a successful career in the world of fashion. The main breakthrough happened in the end of 1990s when her picture in a swimming suit became one of the most famous American tabloids with a circulation of over 20 million. After that, Klum became Victoria’s Secret Angel as well as appeared on the covers of Elle and Vogue.
Apart from that, the beauty also tried her hand in acting and can be seen in such TV projects as Sex and the City, Desperate Housewives, The Devil Wears Prada, Spin City and many others.
