A rising film performer Maitreyi Ramakrishnan saw the light in Canada, Ontario. Her parents are originally from Sri Lanka, who immigrated to Canada because of the civil war.
It would be interesting to know that she got passionate about acting at a young age and while studying at Meadowvale Secondary School, often took part in various plays. During her last year at school, she got a role of Devi Vishwakumar in a popular Netflix series called Never Have I Ever that has been lasting since 2020 and up till present moment. It was the celebrity’s first project in the moviemaking industry and she was very lucky to be chosen among 15.000 candidates, who applied for an open casting of the show. In summer of 2021it was announced that Maitreyi will feature in a romantic comedy called The Netherfield Girls. In addition to that she also voiced Priya in a computer animated film Turning Red.
Nowadays, the celebrity keeps developing her path in the filmmaking sphere, as her path has just begun and so, she has lots of ambitions to fulfil and goals to achieve.
