Bio
Matthew McConaughey is an internationally known movie star, who drew his first breath in Texas, where he grew up with two brothers. His mother Mary used to work in a kindergarten and his father James ran an oil pipe supply business.
As a kid, a future star dreamt of becoming a lawyer. However, everything changed when he finished school and went to Australia as an exchange student. There, he spent one year and upon arrival back home, clearly knew he wanted to be an actor. For this, he entered the University of Texas at Austin and studied the art of acting.
His path in the filmmaking world began from an accidental meeting with a director Don Phillips, who offered Matthew a role in Dazed and Confused in 1993. Then the celebrity also starred in My Boyfriend’s Back, Return of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Angels in the Outfield, etc.
After graduation, the film star moved to LA, where he rose to prominence thanks to a role in a movie called A Time to Kill. In total, McConaughey took part in dozens of successful TV projects. To name just a few: How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, The Wolf of Wall Street, The Gentlemen and many others.
