Robert Sheehan

An Irish-born film performer Robert Sheehan was delivered in County Laois and became the youngest of three children in a family. His mother Maria is a housewife, while his father Joe used to work as a policeman.

While studying at St. Paul’s school, a future star learned to play many musical instruments, including banjo, bodhran, etc. These skills gave him an opportunity to participate in traditional competitions for children and teenagers Fleadh Cheoil. Apart from that, Robert also took part in school performances and that’s when he started considering an acting career as his future job.

He entered Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology but left it soon after to build a successful path in the moviemaking business.

His way to stardom began in 2003 when he featured in a film called Song for a Raggy Boy. A few years later, he could already be seen in Foreign Exchange, The Clinic, The Tudors and many other projects. Yet, what really made him an international star is his role in a drama Cherrybomb of 2009. His other well-known works include: Love/Hate, The Umbrella Academy, Moonwalkers, Mortal Engines, etc.
