A famous rapper, a songwriter, an actor, a record producer, a streamer and a businessman – yes, it is all about him, Soulja Boy.
He drew his first breath in Chicago but at the age of 6 relocated with dad to Atlanta, where he got passionate about music. At 14 he moved to Mississippi and his father provided him a record studio to explore son’s musical talent, skills and ambitions. In 2005 the artist decided to demonstrate his gift to the whole world and posted several of his songs on SoundClick. Due to multiple positive feedbacks, he created accounts on Myspace and YouTube, where he also began uploading his tracks.
In 2007 he presented the first album called Unsigned & Still Major: Da Album Before da Album. This made the musician popular and led to signing a contract with Interscope Records being just 16.
For the next three years he has been successfully releasing singles and mixtapes, which were popular among millions of people. In addition to that, Soulja Boy also collaborated with 50 Cent, Bhad Bhabie, etc.
Despite the fact that the celebrity has been introducing songs, he couldn’t release a new album and that’s why the contract with Interscope Records was broken.
Today, the artist is not signed to any label but can still boast of presenting 4 major studio albums, 7 independent albums, 62 mixtapes, 50 singles and 38 music videos.
